The centre provides high- performance computer resources and a network of personal computers and is connected worldwide to other resources by Internet. The most modern software for computational chemistry methods is available, from molecular modelling to molecular orbital calculations at all levels and Monte Carlo/ Molecular Dynamics Simulations. Furthermore, various other scientific computer tools are provided, as graphics and image processing, statistical and mathematical packages and data bank programmes.

Research carried out currently at CCUC ranges from physics to pharmacology, with special emphasis on molecular interactions, molecular structure and species distribution of solutions, material and drug design as well as development of new methodical approaches. Numerous publications in international journals have resulted already from joint research projects carried out at CCUC.
